Titan's Wrath Railgun
Titan's Wrath Railgun
Description
The Titan's Wrath is a heavy man-portable railgun issued to Orion Hegemony infantry specialists. It fires high-velocity ferrous slugs using electromagnetic acceleration rather than chemical propellant. The weapon is bulky and requires a power cell or reactor tap to maintain charge between shots. Rounds are fed from a detachable magazine of pre-loaded slugs. At close range the muzzle report is described as a thunderclap and the round leaves a visible heat-shimmer in the air. The weapon is capable of defeating armoured targets, vehicle hulls, and heavy Chitin exoskeletons that standard rifles cannot penetrate.
Capabilities
- Electromagnetic slug acceleration produces extreme muzzle velocity
- Effective against heavy armour, vehicle hulls, and thick Chitin carapace
- Single shot can penetrate Brood-Kin Warrior carapace at combat range
- Anti-materiel capability: can defeat light vehicle armour and structural barriers
- Detachable slug magazine; power cell recharge required between sustained fire
- Effective at extended ranges beyond standard ballistic weapons
Weaknesses / Counters
- Heavy and bulky, limits carrier mobility
- Requires dedicated power source; power cell depletion limits sustained fire rate
- Slow rate of fire compared to conventional infantry weapons
- Loud and visible discharge makes firing position obvious
- Ineffective against dispersed or swarm-density targets where area effect is needed
Known Users
- Commander Kael Draven (primary operator, B1 and B2)
- Lieutenant Garrick "Mauler" Thrace (rotary heavy cannon is his primary weapon; uses Titan's Wrath as secondary in some B1 scenes)
- Orion Hegemony heavy weapons infantry specialists

Notes
- The weapon's name "Titan's Wrath" is used colloquially by the squad; official Hegemony designation is not stated in the text
- Draven carries the Titan's Wrath as his primary anti-armour weapon throughout B1–B2
- The weapon's power draw is separate from the TITAN MK-V reactor tap; the carrier maintains a dedicated power cell
