Hyperion Forge / Forge Station Primaris
Hyperion Forge / Forge Station Primaris
Description
Hyperion Forge does not look like a planet. It looks like a machine that has been wrapped in rock and set on fire. The surface is a continuous jagged scar of ferrous grey and molten orange, shrouded in a suffocating layer of brown smog that swirls like a bruise around the equator. Nature has been strangled to make room for the assembly line. Industrial worlds like Hyperion Forge are described as the antithesis of model colonies like Caliban Prime, grimy, machine-scarred, and entirely purposeful.
Forge Station Primaris is the primary administrative and military hub on or above Hyperion Forge, a massive orbital or surface station. Its observation deck is described as hanging over the manufactory plains "like the bridge of some ancient sea vessel," a cathedral of reinforced plasteel and armourglass. The command sanctum occupies an uppermost spire 300 metres above the smog line, where the sky is almost clean.
Beneath the station: 300 metres underground, an auxiliary intelligence node (data vault) exists in a service corridor that official schematics claim does not exist, a forgotten backup system used by Rael to access and analyse the Genesis Logs in secret. (B2 Ch03)
Strategic Importance
- Primary Hegemony war production facility: produces armour (TITAN series), munitions, and warships at scale.
- Staging ground for the Charred Rim / Volcanus Prime campaign: the 200,000-strong Voidborn 2.0 army assembles and trains here.
- Seat of High Executor Valka's war planning: operational briefings for the Volcanus Prime campaign are held in the command sanctum of Forge Station Primaris.
- The Sovereign's Will (Valka's personal flagship) is berthed here for the campaign launch.
- Draven uses the facility's infrastructure to maintain his cover identity after returning from Caliban Prime.
